04/26/2008 — WBGO
On April 25, the Manhattan School of Music Jazz Quintet performed live at the WBGO studio in Newark, NJ. The members of the group included Remy LeBouef on alto saxophone, John Escreet on piano, Joe Saylor on drums, Billy Norris on bass, and myself on trumpet. We performed on Michael Bourne's afternoon radio show, which included short interviews with all members of the group as well as with the head of the jazz department at MSM, Justin DiCioccio. 09/13/2007 — Meditations Suite

On Sunday, September 23, I will be performing with the Manhattan School of Music Jazz Orchestra featuring saxophone giants Dave Liebman, Joe Lovano, and Ravi Coltrane. The rhythm section will be comprised of Cecil McBee, Billy Hart, Phil Markowitz, and Vic Juris.

"Commemorating John Coltrane’s music on the 81st anniversary of his birth, the performance features material from his late period, emphasizing free ballads, along with Gunnar Mossblad's arrangement of the groundbreaking Meditations Suite..."

06/29/2007 — Independence Day Festivities
If you're looking for something to do on July 4, bring the family out to Giampietro Park in Vineland, NJ for a fireworks display and concert with the Bay Atlantic Symphony. Selections will include show tunes, marches, and Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture. Best of all, the concert is free!

05/17/2007 — Exciting new shows!
Be sure to check out Brian Betz with Denis DiBlasio and Gerry Deloach at 8 pm and 10 pm on Saturday, May 19, at Chris' Jazz Cafe. Then hang around to hear my quartet with John Stenger on piano, Leon Boykins on bass, and Joe Truglio on drums.

Another special night at Chris' Jazz Cafe will be on Thursday, June 21 with special guests Jim McFalls on trombone and George Rabbai on trumpet. The rhythm section consists of Brian Betz on guitar, Steve Varner on bass, and Dan Monaghan on drums. You won't want to miss this one!

On Friday, July 13, I will be playing at Chris' Jazz Cafe with the fabulous John Swana and Tony DeSantis on trumpet. It's like Night of the Cookers plus one!
